2Golf
Wick Golf Course offers a great round, whether you're playing for fun, or to win! Golf is life itself in the very far north of Scotland. Just as at St Andrews when the ice age left the seas receded, leaving coastal strips with sandy bays and fine bladed grass, later to become fairways making their way through gorse and dunes to some distant point later to become the 9th with nine others threading their way back from whence they started. So it has been at Reiss since 1870.
Walking
Explore the great Caithness outdoors, skies that go on forever, sea to the horizon & beyond and a rugged landscape with secrets to discover. Wander alone or with friends, or Neil, the ranger, will walk with you making sure you don't miss the historical and natural wonders that this corner of Scotland has to offer.
Off Roading
No sleeping policemen, school runs or city traffic here. Quad bikes, Land Rovers & more take on the realities of off-roading in Caithness.
Don't expect leather seats, air con & satellite navigation, but William will be beside you, always smiling, keeping you right and shouting encouragement to all. The buggy calls to the high spirited and, for those with coordination to spare, the reverse steer challenge await! And the push-me pull-you may be ready....ask William.
RIB
A pulsating adrenalin pumping white water ride or an awe inspiring wildlife safari to uninhabited islands and inaccessible geo's. The very latest in RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) design, 12 metres long with powerful turbo charged diesel engine & twin jet drive system capable of speeds up to 40 knots, this is a ride not to be missed.
Health and Beauty
Fiona and her team will be on hand for massages, aromatherapy, reflexology and all manner of beauty treatments. So lay back in the relaxing surroundings of the Tower and pamper away the stresses & strains of modern living. Just a perfect tonic.
Music and Dancing
At the very heart of Ackergill lies the country's most northerly Opera House, once a place for Sir George to store his coaches after a 3 week trek from the south but now home to perfect acoustics and the sounds of all kinds of music.
Opera, of course, classical ensembles, jazz, the Tower's own cherished Steinway B, 'modern' music and the sounds of traditional Scottish folk - tap your toes and reel with the lassies in a Ceilidh to keep the laughter flowing.
