Weddings have a special place in Aikwood Tower’s history, with the original stone carving celebrating the marriage of Robert Scott of Aikwood and Elspeth Murray of Elibank, in 1602, woven into the walls.

The building in which you choose to embark on and celebrate the first day of the rest of your lives together will always have a special place in your heart, and at Aikwood Tower, everything is done to ensure the big day lives up to your expectations.

Whether it is a religious or civil ceremony or civil partnership, Aikwood Tower is ideal for intimate weddings with up to 40 guests. For up to 80 guests, the tastefully converted cart shed is used for the wedding breakfast. For larger weddings, a marquee can be erected on either the lawn or courtyard.

Aikwood Tower doesn't have set wedding packages - each and every wedding is unique and full of personal touches. To help you, the wedding planner has extensive insight into the best local suppliers from florists to photographers and beauticians to bands, and will be as hands-on or hands-off as you require in the organisation of your wedding.

While accommodation at Aikwood Tower is limited, the owners have excellent relationships with local hoteliers and B&Bs, who can provide special rates for other guests travelling from afar.
