The Perfect Scottish Wedding
The wedding service itself can be held in the castle, with seating capacity for 100. If you prefer, there is a beautiful church in the nearby village of Straiton. The castle also has a civil wedding licence.
Up to 60 guests can be seated in the dining room for the wedding meal, and up to 80 guests in the two drawing rooms. For larger numbers a marquee is available. The castle and its grounds offer an ideal location for wedding photography.
Accommodation
The castle can sleep about 26, some in magnificent 4 poster beds. Also, there are 9 holiday cottages which can sleep from 4-8 each.
Menus
Special wedding day menus can be provided just for you.
Bride and Groom’s car
A 1936 Alvis 12/70 Drophead Coupé can be hired for the wedding.
Marquees
For more than 80 guests seated, we recommend a marquee on the front lawn and details and costs for these can be obtained locally. Outside catering is recommended for marquee functions, contacts can be provided on request.
Entertainment
Various forms of entertainment can be arranged for your wedding reception, such as pipers, bands, dancers and so on. Just ask!
Flowers
During the summer, there is an excellent array of flowers in the garden and these can be arranged by staff in the castle.
Car Parking
There is ample parking for cars in front of the castle. There is space for coaches too.
