WELCOME TO CASTLE LEVAN
At first sight, Castle Levan, overlooking the banks of the
River Clyde, appears to be a romantic 16th century tower-house built on a typical
Scottish L-plan; however, all is not how it seems. The present structure of
Castle Levan started as a massive 14th century tower that was later extended
in the 15th century by abutting an additional tower.
The castle is an exceptional family home of immense historical significance
dominating an enviable setting with broad panoramic aspects over the Firth
of Clyde, viewing to Dunoon, Holy Loch, Loch Long, Ben Lomond and the Trossach
mountain range.
The owners make a special effort to provide exactly what their guests
want and so prices will vary according to your particular requirements.
As a guide the castle's typical tariffs start from £55 per person per
night including a Continental, English or Scottish breakfast and, if
you wish, supper can also be prepared for you.
There is something quite special about a stay at Castle Leven, and
that special ingredient is Lydia and Jan. The view is fantastic,
the breakfasts to die for, however, Lydia and Jan invite you into
their home and create a lasting experience that guests have been
commenting on for years.
Lydia and Jan share their most welcoming Scottish castle, with travellers
young and old, and love to have children staying at the property.
