Alloa Tower

Balmerino Abbey

A fantastic example of fine 13th century architecture. Originally a Cistercian monastery, which later became a dwelling house after secularisation in 1603 for the Lords of Balermino. The abbey was once known as a place of healing and still, today, a calm atmosphere can be felt, whilst the village of Balermino houses some great Medieval farm buildings.
