Welcome to Amberley Castle, set between the rolling South Downs and the peaceful expanse of the Amberley Wildbrooks. Many of the castle's 19 luxurious, individually-designed bedrooms and suites boast four-poster beds.

The five suites, known collectively as The Bishopric, have been created from two 17th century stone buildings situated within the dry moat.

All bedrooms and suites have an en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom, remote control colour television, tea & coffee making facilities, video player, direct dial telephone, radio, trouser press, hair dryer, toiletries and home-made biscuits.

Winchelsea Room

Amberley Castle is celebrating its 900th anniversary with a special midweek 'Winter Warmer' room rate of £100 per night on selected rooms, Monday to Thursday, throughout October and November 2003 and January to March 2004.

This represents savings of up to £70 per night on the usual tariff.


There is no minimum stay, but guests must dine at the Castle. Residential guests also receive a complimentary book entitled 'Amberley Castle - A Celebration of 900 Years'
worth £20.

The Winter Warmer, based on two adults sharing a double room, Monday to Thursday nights only, applies to standard and superior rooms (suites and four-poster bedrooms are excluded from this special rate) which are normally priced at £145 and £170 per night respectively.

The award-winning 12th century Queens Room and Great Room restaurants, which hold two AA Rosettes, offer a three-course table d'hôte menu at £35pp and full English breakfast is priced at £16.50pp.
