What better than the chance to learn to cook in the kitchen of a real castle? This is the stuff of fairytales for children and adults alike. Your children can learn everything that's fun about food from growing it in the castle's kitchen garden, raising it (the castle have chickens and pigs!) to preparing, cooking and eating it.

You may visit a local farm to see how they do things or perhaps even the local auction mart. The main focus being cooking lots of proper food. Then at the end of it all the chance to sit down together and share what everyone has made.

While all this is going on, parents can relax around the castle and grounds, go out for a walk, an unhurried lunch, visit the Lakes or Dales or just do nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Courses run during the school holidays and are geared around the ages of the children attending. Bespoke courses can also be arranged for birthdays, schools or as part of a house party.
