Weddings at the castle are small intimate occasions. With
a maximum 12 guests for a sit down meal in the Great
Hall at the top of the castle, or 15 for an informal
kitchen supper with some in front of the fire downstairs
and some at a long table.
A trained cook would cater for a meal for a
grand occasion as it makes much life simpler for guests.
The castle recommends 8 people staying, but it
can take 10 if it is a family group and with prior permission from
the castle owners.
Extra guests can be accommodated in country
house accommodation at the other side of the village of Corofin.
For a special occasion, the staff would
recommend bringing in good local musicians for guests' enjoyment2,
as County Clare is famous for its traditional Irish music.
