Room Description

Breadalbane - The largest room featuring a super-king size four poster bed. The oak flooring compliments the dark oak furniture of the period. The stunning views from this room are over Loch Creran to the Appin Hills and Glencoe in the distance. ( Sleeps 2 )


Caithness - At the top of the castle, this room arguably boasts one of the best views to the northeast over Loch Creran and towards Glencoe. The Northwest corner of the room has one of the castle's three turrets, now a small dressing area. ( Sofa bed available for 3rd adult or child, 14 and over, sleeps 3 )


Lochnell - The newly exposed stonework and the Portland Stone fireplace give a focal point to the room. The 17th century Jacobean four poster double bed is complimented by other period furniture. ( Sleeps 2 )


Barcaldine - A large comfortable room with antique mahogany furniture. The window faces across the garden to the south west gate, Lochan Dhub and the ancient scots pines beyond. ( Sleeps 2 )


Airds - Can be set as a twin or as a super king sized double. It has an en-suite toilet and walk in shower but Airds also incorporates a turreted dressing area as it is on the top floor. The bedroom window has a view across the gardens to the west and the mountains in the distance, and the turret windows give views to the south west gate and Loch Dhub. ( Sleeps 2 )


Argyll - Has a double aspect with views across the garden to the south west gate, Lochan Dhub and the ancient Scots pines beyond. The room has ornate white furniture and has an en-suite toilet and shower room. ( Sleeps 2 )


There is a £25 discount on the above rates where there is only one adult in a room.

Barcaldine Castle does not accept children under 14. A child (14-15) using a sofa bed sharing a room with 2 adults would be charged at £50 per night.

A third adults can be accommodated in Caithness or Lochnell for an additional 60 pounds.

Please note for two nights or more, there is a £20 per night discount factored into the above prices.

Rates are quoted in Pounds Sterling are inclusive of full breakfast and VAT at the current rate.

The castle has 1 room with a sofa bed as above, this is the only room that can take an extra child (14 and over).

Check-in is at 4:00pm, check-out is by 10:30am.
Guests are respectfully asked not to smoke in the castle.
Regrettably pets are not permitted.
