About The Castle
Dramatic colours offset fine English and Irish antique furnishings, rattan furniture from the spice island of Cebu, and works by Russian, Irish, and English painters. The ambience is comfortable and welcoming, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of a charming sunken garden.
Upon entering the castle, you will pass through a magnificent double-vaulted entrance hall into an elegant drawing room with an open fireplace. The grand hall, a banqueting room that seats 60, has its own minstrels' gallery. Each of the seven luxurious ensuite bedrooms is uniquely decorated with antique or handcrafted pine furniture.
Guests may enjoy the bounty of County Fermanagh in a variety of ways. A kitchen and barbecue facilities allow them to prepare their own meals with fresh ingredients from nearby markets, eggs from the castle's hens, and perhaps fish they caught in Lough Erne. A private chef, who is versatile in international and traditional Irish cuisine, can prepare a single dinner or a full week’s worth of meals. Guests may also take classes at the Belle Isle School of Cookery, each of which culminates in a sit-down meal.
