Birkhill is the ideal venue for a relaxed, romantic wedding. The traditional aspects of the castle provide an ideal backdrop for a more formal ceremony and reception. Other guests prefer the informality of the garden, marrying in the tranquility of the rose garden and celebrating in a marquee.

Birkhill pride themselves on being very flexible, allowing the bride and groom to bring their own champagne (or they can supply it if you wish). The day is your own, the castle is for your exclusive use. You can choose a simple buffet or grand banquet, a luncheon or evening dinner - it's entirely up to you.

The following information is provided to assist you in your wedding planning - however the castle will endeavour to be as flexible as possible:

• Your ceremony can be held in the house or garden
  
• Reception - up to 50 in the house - marquees by arrangement
  
• Wedding brunch, lunch or dinner - in-house or your own caterers
  
• Drinks - Birkhill can provide a bar, wines and champagne, or you can bring your own.
  
• Entertainment can be arranged if required
