The Gatehouse Tower
The Gatehouse has just two rooms and is situated just inside the castle grounds, not in the main castle building. The tower is approx. 100 yards from the castle and people using the Gatehouse will have use of all the facilities in the main castle.

All rates quoted are per room per night, based on 2 people sharing, and include Continental Breakfast and VAT.

Single occupancy rate is £100 for the Mary Queen of Scots, Earl of Bothwell and Lord Borthwick room. All other rooms are £80.00.

All bedchambers have en-suite bathroom facilities, direct dial telephones and complimentary tea and coffee.

A limited number of portable beds and cots are available. The charge for a fold away bed is £20.00 unless it is for a child up to the age of ten. Children up to the age of ten are charged at £15.00.

Bedchambers do not have televisions, VCRs or radios. Dinner is served in the Great Hall at 8:00pm. Four course set menu @ £33.00 per person. Special dietary needs catered for.
