During your stay at Craig-y-Nos Castle, many activities can
be arranged within the local area. These can range from relaxing in the bar
and playing pool to getting in the outdoors and trying out horse riding. Our
list below gives an insight into all the activities the castle has to offer:
Relax in the Bar
The Nicolini Bar has a pool table, bar football table and board games for use by residents and visitors. Parties of up to 35 persons will find the Nicolini Bar ideal for meetings and dining. Self contained and separate from the castle's other public rooms, it is recommended for smaller private functions.
Live Music
Craig-y-Nos Castle now has occasional FREE live music evenings. These are lively, friendly, relaxed and very special mid-week evenings! There are just 9 a year, always on a Thursday evening, and this year's remaining ones are on the following dates... 7th September, 21st September, 5th October, 26th October.
Walking
Guided walks are a brilliant way to discover more about a place. You can meet new people and enjoy a chat as you walk. These guided walks take you through some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain, from high mountain peaks and rugged moor land to river banks and hidden valleys.
Bird Watching
Brecon Beacons National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, some of which is rarely found elsewhere in Britain. The numerous small mammals, fish, wild flowers, and ancient hedgerows make this area an ideal for bird watching and simply taking in the nature the park has to offer.
The National Showcaves for Wales
Only half a mile from the castle is the National Showcaves for Wales. This complex enables visitors to enter and view three very different cave systems. It also features a Dinosaur Park, Geological Exhibits and an Iron-Age Village. It is an easy and picturesque walk from 'The Castle to The Caves'.
