Set deep in the heart of some of Scotland's loveliest countryside,
yet only 8 miles from Edinburgh, Dundas Castle can offer
all the peace and quiet you need, to focus on the business
of the day. Whatever your event or meeting, the castle has
the perfect room for your requirements, with all the facilities
you need to ensure everything runs smoothly. You can choose
from the rooms in the Main House, the Auld Keep, or you
might require one of the castle's marquees for larger events.
The main castle building has a selection
of rooms available, unsurpassed for comfort, luxury and
privacy - in other words, everything you would expect from
one of Scotland's premier venues.
All of the rooms in the main castle building
can be used either as syndicate or break-out rooms. The
Dining Room and Drawing Room can accommodate up to 60 guests
and the Library is ideal for smaller groups, of between
10 and 20 guests.

ideal for lunch or dinner, but it can also be
made available theatre-style, should you require.

Beehive
So called because this meeting room is decorated
with unique, bee-printed wallpaper and when
filled with busy executives it can resemble
a hive of activity,where everyone is buzzing
with ideas! |

Tucked away in a particularly
quiet corner of the castle, the Beehive is also
the ideal place for a distraction-free meeting.
It is very popular for small conferences, board
meetings, seminars and training courses.

Drawing Room
Many of the castle's guests
like to book the Drawing Room for receptions,
as it is both elegant and welcoming, with lots
of space to mix and mingle. It is also sought
after as a comfortable and peaceful break-out
room.

Library
The Library is also a favourite for receptions,
with its country house atmosphere and views
out over the castle's 1000 acres of parkland.
The cosy, informal, yet luxurious surroundings
of this deep rich-red room, make it the ideal
place for a warming brandy by the fire, on a
cold winter evening.

| The
Auld Keep
The Auld Keep is the original castle, which
dates back to 1406 and is built on 3 levels,
comprising the Stag Chamber, the Armoury and
the Great Hall. Guests
can enjoy wonderful panoramic views over the
Firth of Forth, the Pentland Hills and surrounding
countryside from the top of this historic tower.

The
Stag Chamber
The Stag Chamber is a great favourite with those who
wish to step back in time with a themed banquet. Whether
you prefer an authentic Scottish dinner, a Medieval
banquet, or perhaps even a murder mystery dinner, this
historic room will set the scene. |

The
Armoury
Also perfect for receptions, seminars and presentations,
the Armoury is slightly smaller than the Great
Hall, but has the added attraction of a wonderful
log fire. |

The Great Hall
The Great Hall can be used for all kinds of
events, receptions or parties, for up to 80
guests. Its dramatic setting and excellent acoustics
mean that it also lends itself very well to
presentations and concerts. |

The
Pavilion
Situated on the east lawn, in full view of the
castle, the Pavilion is much in demand for conferences,
presentations, product exhibitions, dinner dances,
car launches and many other events.

A permanent facility, available
throughout the year, it can accommodate between
200 and 300 people, depending on the nature
of the event.The Pavilion is fully carpeted
and benefits from an abundance of natural daylight
from its 2 windowed walls. It also has air conditioning
and central heating. The wall panels of the
Pavilion can be removed if so required, for
the purpose of bringing larger items into the
Pavilion, such as cars.

Along the South Drive, just 500 metres
from the castle, there is a reserved area of land, specifically
to accommodate even larger marquees, for up to 1500 guests.
This unique site is particularly suitable for events such
as product launches and gala dinners and can be accessed
easily by coaches and other transport.
The castle provides a spectacular backdrop,
whatever the event, and the marquee can be decorated to
reflect a particular theme, according to client requirements.
The fee for such services includes provision of the Grand
Pavilion and all main facilities, but star cloths and special
lighting effects are charged for separately.
Catering,
Banqueting and Dining
Dundas Castle provides the catering for its guests, so you
can be sure of the highest quality wining and dining, whatever
the event, occasion or celebration.
The castle can also help with menu planning,
for groups of all sizes - from dinners for half a dozen
guests, up to 1500. There is an abundance of choice from
the castle's wine list and menu selectors, to suit every
occasion.
