Directions
- From Gullane to Fenton Tower |
From
Gullane follow road towards North Berwick. Take
the turning on the right opposite Dirleton Castle
signed for Kingston. Follow this road for approximately
1 mile. Turn left at the cross roads. You will come
into the hamlet of Kingston. At the T-junction turn
right. Fenton Tower is at the bottom of the hill
on the left hand side.
Take the 2nd turning off the A1
to Haddington, at the Abbotsview Junction,at the
roundabout take 2nd turning on the left A199, 3/4
mile along the A199, turn left on to the road, marked
North Berwick and East Fortune. Follow this road
for 3 miles to the hamlet of Kingston, and the Tower
is visible on a hill on the right hand side of the
road.
Follow local directions above.
Leave the airport by the Caledonia Way heading east,
one way. At junction for Paisley turn right (2nd
exit) marked Glasgow M8. At junction with M8 turn
right onto second roundabout under motorway. Then
take 3rd exit marked Glasgow M8.
Follow M8 through Glasgow and follow
signs for Edinburgh. After 49.2 miles you will come
to the end of the M8. Follow signs for A720, (City
Bypass, The South and East). Follow signs for A1
Berwick-upon-Tweed. At Old Craighall Junction (13.5
miles from end of M8)) take the 3rd exit to join
the A1 to Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Follow the A1 for 4.8 miles to Bankton
Junction. Junction with A198/B6371 signed to North
Berwick.
Take first exit to North Berwick. At next roundabout
take 3rd exit A198 marked North Bewrick and Longniddry.
At Longniddry bear left to Aberlady
and North Berwick. At T-junction facing the sea
turn right to Aberlady. In Aberlady bear left to
North Berwick.
On leaving Gullane take the second
turning to the right, marked Kingston. Follow local
directions.

Leave the city centre via London Road, Regents Terrace,
Leith Walk following signs for A1 Berwick-upon-Tweed.
This will bring you to the eastern end of the City
Bypass. Follow A1 for at least 5 miles to Bankton
Junction. Take first exit to North Berwick. At next
roundabout take 3rd exit A198 marked North Berwick
and Longniddry.
At Longniddry bear left to Aberlady
and North Berwick. A198. At T-junction facing the
sea turn right to Aberlady. In Aberlady bear left
to North Berwick.
On
leaving Gullane take the second turning to the right,
marked Kingston. Follow local directions.
On
the A1 after Dunbar take the 3rd exit off the Thistle
Round about signed for East Linton. At the next
round about take the 2nd exit for East Linton and
Haddington. Follow the signs for Haddington until
you reach the Athelstaneford Junction. At this junction
turn right and follow signs for North Berwick. Stay
on this road for approximately 3 miles. This road
is VERY twisty, but be patient, you will find us.
Fenton Tower is on your right hand side just before
the hamlet of Kingston.
London-Edinburgh rail and sleeper link nearby. Some
trains stop at Dunbar - convenient for Fenton Tower.
You can be met by arrangement.
If you are flying in by private plane or charter,
the nearest airport is Edinburgh. If you want to
arrive by private helicopter, use the landing pad
in our grounds.
