the North Yorkshire moors (pictured above), along
with acres of heather for as far as the eye can
see. Take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors
Steam Railway, which will take you on a scenic
tour or take a step back in time to the four market
towns of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Malton and
Pickering.

The ancient city of York is only
10 miles away, and is well worth a visit. The
city has a great atmosphere, especially for
shopping, where a walk down the Shambles will
no doubt ending up with you splashing the cash!
York Minster (left) attracts many
tourists each year and you can see the fantastic
architecture inside for a small fee.
Yorkshire boasts the finest stretches
of coastline in the UK, golden beaches, rocky
coves and towering cliffs. We highly recommend
you try the fish and chips at the traditional
seaside town of Whitby, the inpiration behind
Bram Stocker's Dracula.
