The
Chapel of Leonard was rebuilt in 1286 along with
a licence from the King to endow a chaplaincy.
By favour of Queen Elizabeth 1, the chapel remained
unmolested during her reign, and consequently
the blessed sacrament has been undisturbed to
this day.
The chapel is regularly used to
this day for marriage blessings, meetings and
carol concerts.
