The Scarbrough Room

Lumley Castle is licensed to hold Civil Weddings Ceremonies in the Scarbrough Room. If you are getting married or planning to renew your wedding vows you can be sure of a grand, memorable ceremony in a beautiful setting.

 

The Scarbrough Room is licenced for Civil Marriage Ceremonies, and can hold up to 77 guests.

 

 

The Garter State Room

The Garter Room is a regal room, lit by natural daylight from large windows on two sides. It boasts stuccoed decorations which date from 1740. The Second Earl of Scarbrough was a Knight of the Garter which can be seen in the centre of the ceiling. The walls are decorated with strings of fruit and flowers. One panel shows a group of children gathering sticks to make a fire against a wintry and mountainous landscape.

 

The Garter State Room can hold up to 132 guests for a reception, and its decor makes it an ideal venue.

 

 

The Baron's Hall

Recently refurbished, The Barons Hall is a unique reception room that offers a variety of uses. The Barons Hall includes the original 16th century fireplace with a minstrels gallery at each end of the room and windows down two sides of the room.

 

The Barons Hall is a beautiful setting for up to 110 guests, and a unique party venue for up to 150 guests.

 

 

The castle can also cater for more intimate weddings with special packages available for between 10 and 30 guests.
