MARKREE
CASTLE is a family-run country house hotel and all the bedrooms are different
in style and character. Each room is individually decorated and the furniture
antique, in keeping with the castle, yet they meet the requirements of the
modern day. With fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, each room
is a place to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the 21st century
life. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, direct dial telephones, hairdryer, individually controlled heating and beverage making facilities, providing all you need for a comfortable and cosy stay in a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere.
Markree Castle is wheelchair accessible and has one disability equipped room. The majority of rooms have fantastic views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.
The
castle chef, Tom Joyce, provides menus to match the magnificent surroundings.
Tom has represented Ireland abroad, and the restaurant is mentioned in most
leading guide books - recently winning two rosettes from the A.A. To complement
this is a wine list of some 250 bins from the castle cellars, and some good
bargains are to be had.
