Dining at Castle Venlaw

The culinary word is spreading! The expertise of the castle's chef has attracted one AA Rosette for his cuisine, building on previous recognition as a “Best Eating Place in the Borders” winner and an award of 4 stars by Taste of Scotland. Tasting is believing!

The Scottish Borders is rich in natural produce and, wherever possible, the castle's chef uses the best of everything local and Scottish in his menus.

The restaurant effortlessly combines the elegance of its period style with an informal and welcoming ambience. The best of surroundings in which to enjoy the best of Scotland.

All tastes are catered for in the castle's exciting menu, including a selection of vegetarian dishes. If you have special dietary requirements, please just let us know. And if you have a favourite dish from a previous visit, Chef would be happy to oblige!

Children under 5 can only dine in the restaurant until 7pm.
