There is so much to see and do in this most beautiful part of France...

Visit the Beaujolais and Burgundian vineyards, discover the famous 'Wine Road' by visiting the villages of Brouilly, Saint-Amour, Fleurie, Juliénas, Chénas, Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent and enjoy the wines of the Beaujolais. Then there’s wonderful time to be had on the Beaujolais Wine Trail.

Explore the small market towns and villages nearby with their enchanting Romanesque churches and abbeys; the area is full of cultural and gastronomic delights. Alternatively, simply meander among the vines, which nestle up to the village, or relax in one of the rocking garden chairs.

For those who are more energetic, there is a tennis court within walking distance and a golf course 15 minutes away. The château's outdoor, heated swimming pool is open during the summer months for hotel guests only and is 17.5 metres in diameter and 1.49 metres deep.

The château would also be delighted to organise guided horse riding for you during your stay. Horses can be hired at Le Bois d'Oingt, minutes away from the château, or at Denice, four kilometres from Villefranche.

For those who feel Lady Luck is with them, Le Lyon Vert casino is in La Tour de Salvagny, 30 minutes from the château, and is open from 10:00 am until 4:00 am every day.
