Hattonchatel château
Location

Lorraine is the only French region to have borders with three other countries. Belgium (Wallonia), Luxembourg and Germany (Saar, Rhineland-Palatinate)

Many rivers run through Lorraine, including the Rhine, Moselle, Meurthe and Meuse and the area is famous for its trout and carp fishing. Clay pigeon shooting, archery and hunting can be arranged upon request.

Exclusive wine tasting is available at the château, where you can enjoy a unique experience and savour the local wines whilst taking in the history. Visits to local surrounding vine yards such as in the valley of the Moselle, the valley of Seille, the valley of Metz and the valley of Sierck can be arranged upon request. Picnics can be organized to the lake for fishing, water-skiing, jet skiing or simply relaxing in the sun, after which you can return to the château for afternoon tea.

Walkers, cyclists and horse riders will enjoy routes through picturesque villages and lush valleys. Marville to the north is an outstanding Medieval town with

architecture that dates back to the Spanish occupation. Verdun is synonymous with the battle of WW1, when approximately 1 million men died in almost a whole year of bloodshed. Verdun is now a World Capital for Peace - the Bishop's Palace is used for world peace talks and exhibitions.

To allow yourself to admire the breathtaking views, hot air balloon rides can be arranged prior to your stay.
