Welcome to ‘theCastle’ where, from this month onwards, we will be offering our articles in a new format, which we hope you will find as useful as the PDF version we have been sending you every month since you subscribed.
The feedback we get about ‘theCastle’ is that you love our chatty and informative style, our sharing of knowledge and the access we give you to wonderful castle properties. You like the direct access you have to our team of experts, and so you will be pleased to hear that we do not intend to lose this, in fact we want to enhance this with our new service.
Whilst we will still be publishing the PDF version, from now on it will be on a quarterly basis (next edition due April 2011!). This doesn’t mean less content, however, as we will regularly be publishing new articles on our newly launched website for ‘theCastle’, with the PDF acting as a compilation of the best content from the previous 3 months. If you don’t have time to check the site on a regular basis, we will still be sending out a mailer at the start of each month, which summarises all of the new content since our last contact.
As part of our website for ‘theCastle’, we will also offer you an easy facility to comment and share your experiences. We get loads of feedback from customers after their stays, so we want to share more of this with you, and what could be better than us being able to expand the audience who contribute? Sorry we have been guilty of not sharing enough of this with you in the past, but we will do better…
At the start of 2011, we also launched our charity project where each booking you make via Celtic Castles allows us to feed a child in Brazil. Our target for this year is to provide 10,000 meals and, in January 2011 we supplied 830. More details on this are coming next month!

Hi Mary.
Really appreciate your feedback. The pdf is a lovely way to read our features about the castles and we have not done away with it totally, we will be publishing quarterly on pdf. This has been a big decision for us, we love the pdf as well.
We hope that our new format will allow us to add even more information for our customers and readers so I am sure that once we get used to the new format we will giving you loads of useful information about the castles.
If there are topics you would like us to discuss or explore for you just let us know and we will do our best to cover these for you.
We have had a few people un-subscribe by accident, we will have a look at this.
