Family Friendly Castles in England

I think it's safe to say that, as a child, almost everyone fantasised about being royalty, whether you were the princess that dreamt about long dresses and your own tower, or the brave young prince slaying dragons to defend his castle. Well why not give your child the chance to experience this (minus the dragons)?

There are plenty of family-friendly castles within the Celtic Castle's portfolio and I will do my best to name a few of the most authentic around!

Originally built in the 14th Century, Lumley Castle is a stunning property surrounded by beautiful grounds.

Built in 1841 in the Upper Eden Valley, Augill Castle is a family-owned property with a very cosy atmosphere to it.

Steeped in history and tradition, the atmosphere at Swinton Park is one of warmth and hospitality; you'll feel right at home at Swinton!

Walworth Castle

Located just outside Darlington, the large turrets of Walworth Castle will certainly make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
