Traquair is Scotland’s 'Oldest Inhabited House'. It has been lived in for over 900 years and was originally a hunting lodge for the kings of Scotland and later became a refuge for Catholic priests in times of terror; I think it is safe to say there are very few properties out there with as much history under one roof!
Today, Traquair is a unique piece of living history, welcoming visitors from all over the world, providing an incredible experience for those with even the slightest interest in Scottish History!
This Hallowe'en experience the all new 'Ghost Tour' at Traquair, not for the faint of heart!
The tours will take place on Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October & Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November at 7pm & 9pm.
Come and experience a ghostly tour of Traquair and meet the people who lived here long ago.
Find out their stories and listen to the unexpected sounds of the past that can still be heard in the ancient walls.
Feel a shiver down the back of your spine as you pass through the old oak door...what will be beyond?
Tours are suitable for ages 8 years and above – but not for those with a nervous disposition!
Tours last approximately 1 hour and include a glass of mulled wine. Numbers are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
