Spooky Experiences this Hallowe'en!

Spending the night behind the stone walls of an ancient building is always guaranteed to be atmospheric, and when the building is decorated for Hallowe'en, that atmosphere can be quite eerie!

Whilst Hallowe'en 2015 is still several months away, our castles have begun to release their packages. More will arrive over the coming months, but for now, here is what Coombe Abbey and Lumley Castle have to offer. Both are close to selling out, so if you’d like to join either event, book your stay as soon as possible!

Coombe Abbey

“It is All Hallows’ Eve at the abbey. A witch is brought to trial…ghostly characters are conjured up.”

Coombe Abbey, in the West Midlands (less than 2 hours from London!), is running 2 Hallowe'en banquets on 30 October, or 31 October. Haunted fun is accompanied by a four course banquet, three goblets of red wine, and three beakers of mead, all topped off with a Hallowe'en disco until the early hours.

Tickets to the Hallowe'en event cost £44.95 per person, with accommodation from £179 per room per night, based on two people sharing a double or twin room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Lumley Castle

“Ghosts, ghouls and things that go bump in the night…”

Lumley Castle, in North East England, is running two special packages this Hallowe'en; one for families with children on 29 October, and one for adults only on 30 October.

On 29 October, a special 3 course banquet is followed by a disco until 10:30pm. Children under 12 are charged at £16 each, with adults charged at £29 per person. The price also includes a special Hallowe'en goody bag for every child. Fancy dress is optional.

The adult celebration on the following night includes a five course banquet, two goblets of mead, two goblets or wine, and is followed by entertainment and a disco until 1am. This event is suitable for over 16's only and, once again, fancy dress is optional. The adults' Hallowe'en celebration is charged at £41.50 per person.

As with Coombe Abbey, accommodation is available at Lumley Castle, starting at £119 per room per night, based on two people sharing a double or twin room on a bed and breakfast basis.
