Enjoy a Spooky Stay at Culzean Castle

The castle properties we feature are obviously fantastic places to stay. In addition to being wonderful places for overnight accommodation, some of our venues have been used as backdrops for famous films.

The Wicker Man is a 1973 British mystery horror film, directed by Robin Hardy and written by Anthony Shaffer and, at the heart of its shooting was Culzean Castle. In the early 1970s, the actor Christopher Lee was a Hammer Horror regular, best known for his roles in a series of successful films and he played Lord Summerisle in this film.

In 2006, The Wicker Man ranked 45th on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments. So why not get into the Hallowe'en spirit and enjoy a stay at this castle during the spooky period and retrace the steps of Christopher Lee? Contact the Celtic Castles team to check dates for availability.
