This is a region of mountains in north-west Wales forming the Snowdonia National Park. The park's historic Snowdon Mountain Railway climbs to the summit of Wales's highest mountain, Mount Snowdon, offering views across the sea to Ireland. The park is also home to an extensive network of walking trails, over a hundred lakes and peaks, like Cader Idris and Tryfan. Harlech beach offers miles of unspoilt sand and Dinorwic Slate Quarry offers amazing views, walks and history of this area of North Wales.

Visit the famous Cavern Club, the Beatles' Story Museum, Albert Dock - fully renovated dock buildings with shops cafes and bars - Walker Art Gallery, Merseyside Maritime Museum and Port Sunlight Museum and Garden Village.
