Days 1 & 2

For the city portion of this 'Town and Country' break, you spend two nights at Leasowe Castle, just outside the city of Liverpool.

With a vast array of tourist attractions available to you, your time in Liverpool will be filled to the brim.

Music lovers will be interested in The Beatles Story, a museum dedicated to the rise of a truly legendary four-piece and important part of Liverpool's heritage.  You can also visit several other locations connected to "The Fab Four", such as the Cavern Club, Penny Lane, and Strawberry Fields.

For history, visit the Liverpool Maritime Museum, Pier Head, The Liver Building and Liverpool Cathedral.

Sports fans can tour Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club, or venture slightly further afield to Manchester United's Old Trafford.

Days 3 & 4

Eden valley

Drive two hours north from Liverpool to the beautiful Eden Valley, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.

Here you will spend two nights at Augill Castle, a beautiful family-run English folly set in one of the most picturesque regions of the UK.

The Eden Valley offers endless opportunities for some of the best and most uncrowded walking in Britain; there are villages, caves, riverbanks, castles, waterfalls and gorges to explore on foot, on your bike or by car.
