Ackergill Tower is just five minutes from Wick Airport, which now benefits from multiple scheduled flights into Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Inverness.

Ten miles from the world-renowned John O’Groats, the most northerly point in mainland Britain, and just three metres from the sea, Ackergill Tower stands proudly on the rugged Scottish coastline. Caithness is arguably one of the last true wilderness areas in Europe and it really does have to be experienced first-hand. The sea is stunning and, in mid-winter, sitting by a huge peat fire whilst a wild sea rages in the bay, is spectacular.

"We can't wait to go back and would never stay anywhere else when in the area! Absolutely wonderful."
