Dining

Great Western Restaurant
The Great Western Restaurant at Bovey Castle is relaxed and comfortable, yet up-market and classy. They call it ‘exclusive dining’ because it’s an experience you won’t find anywhere else.
The ambience lends itself well to dapper tailoring and a fancy frock so feel free to glam up and for an evening of splendid food and wine! Great Western Restaurant also serves the hotel's impressive traditional Sunday lunch, offering a varied selection of locally-sourced meat, fish and vegetarian options.

Smith’s Brasserie
Imagine the best pubs in the land. You’ll be thinking countryside views, roaring fires, welcoming atmosphere, cosy seating and delicious aromas drifting from the kitchens...
Well, Smith’s Brasserie offers just that. Relaxed and inviting with classic British dining at its best.
At Smith’s you can dress up and make your evening special with a glass of Champagne or dress down and bring the kids for a family lunch after a day exploring the estate. Prepare to do some serious relaxing in stylish surroundings.

Oak Bar
From a pre-lunch aperitif to a post-dinner cognac, the Oak Bar boasts an enormous array of whiskies and spirits, with the very best malts and fine armagnacs, some dating back to the time the house was built. There are, of course, plenty of wonderful cocktails to sample and the resident mixologists are constantly developing more.

Afternoon Tea
A Bovey Castle speciality, and one they’re renowned for, with scones, sandwiches, home-made cakes, pastries and fine teas served in china cups. All enjoyed seated in the Great Western Restaurant, or in the summer months, on the terrace overlooking the hotel's manicured gardens. Afternoon tea is served from 2.00pm - 4.30pm daily. Please note, during December afternoon tea is served between 1.00pm - 4.30pm.
