Candacraig is a family home, so although the decor is luxurious, the atmosphere is always relaxing and warming.
Guests can enjoy exclusive use of the property, including the impressive formal dining room, drawing room, games/billiards room, whisky library (which through many years of collecting provides a leading selection of single malts), plus 12 individually-styled bedrooms, mostly ensuite, all with direct dial telephones, Egyptian cotton bedding and L'Occitane toiletries. The main house sleeps up to 26 guests.
The resident house manager will be available throughout your stay, plus an on-site night porter service for out-of-hours.
Outdoors, guests have full access to 18 acres of private woodland and manicured lawns, including a large Victorian walled garden, the castle's very own lochan, fed by the celebrated River Don, and a woodland bonfire area – a very special spot to enjoy a dram by the fire. Candacraig is set within Britain's largest national park, the Cairngorms. The park provides nearly 5000 sq km of protected parklands and contains five of the UK's highest mountains.
