Bedrooms with Real Charm

The 20 bedrooms at Dalmunzie Castle are all individual in style, decoration and theme and all enjoy an aspect of the stunning mountain scenery, golf course or surrounding lawns. All bedrooms are located throughout the castle, in the original hunting lodge, oak tower or Victorian & Edwardian wings.

The bedrooms are designed to reflect Dalmunzie’s original purpose as a relaxing retreat for the laird and his family in this beautiful part of Scotland, with no two bedrooms the same. Each bedroom is named after a family/clan, which has played an important part of Dalmunzie’s history over the last 500 years.

Tower Rooms

The tower rooms (Birkmyre, MacIntosh, Stewart and The Apartment) have the best views in the castle, with aspects over the golf course and the front of the hotel. The Birkmyre and MacIntosh rooms were the laird and lady’s rooms respectively in the early part of the last century; and the Stewart room is the largest room.

Four Poster Rooms

The four poster rooms include the MacRichie, the Ogilvie, the Winton and the MacPherson. Most of the four poster rooms have excellent views over the front lawns and beyond.

Dalmunzie Rooms

As with all the rooms at the castle, the Dalmunzie rooms are all named after Scottish families that owned or had close ties with the hotel. Most of these rooms have excellent views of the surrounding scenery, lawns and beyond. The majority have double beds, however, several have twin beds which are ideal for sharing.

"Every attention to detail was made by the very friendly staff. The castle and surrounding area are stunning. Our room, in the tower, was fantastic, dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and we enjoyed having drinks at the bar. I wish I had stayed longer there, and will one day return. I loved this place, it is very special!"
