Over the years Lough Cutra Castle has served as the perfect backdrop for many events.

Everything from private accommodation for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Irish President Michael D Higgins, and Sir Bob Geldof. Completed in 1817 and designed by world-renowned architect John Nash, who also designed Buckingham Palace, Lough Cutra is steeped in the history of the surrounding South Galway County area.

As temporary host to W.B. Yeats as well as Lady Augusta Gregory, the walls of the castle hold many a story. This historic, private, and picturesque castle and sprawling estate have been featured for many large and small scale film and television productions.
