Turin Castle sleeps 12 people in 5 bedrooms on a self-catered, exclusive-use basis. Push open the massive oak door and you’re back in Medieval Ireland!
Turin Castle is situated in the ancient barony of Kilmaine, surrounded by 16 acres of rich walled pasture land; it is well serviced with airports, being 46 km from Galway, 60 km from Knock and 123 km from Shannon. The nearest town is Balinrobe, which is 8 km away, offering a good selection of pubs and eateries. The picturesque village of Cong, famous for the John Ford film "The Quiet Man" and Ashford Castle, is also close by. Turin Castle is the perfect self-catering venue, ideal for getaways, birthday parties or special events.
The area abounds with natural beauty, with the mountains and lakes of Connemara less than an hour away: Lough Mask meets Lough Corrib near Cong; both havens for anglers and history buffs alike. On Inchagoill, one of the 365 of Lough Corrib islands, you can find the remains of two ancient churches and a burial ground. It is believed that St Patrick was banished to the island, prior to the conversion of the pagan tribes.

"This was a remarkable place to stay! We were looking for a place for a large family celebration in Ireland. It is like being allowed to sleep in a museum and make it your own. Some of us flew into Dublin and others into Shannon, so it is accessible from either airport."
