What it Includes...

Christmas Eve

  • Check in from 3 pm;
  • Cream tea served in the Maguire Lounge;
  • 7 pm: Meet fellow guests in the Garden Room for a glass of Champagne and Scottish canapés;
  • 7.30 pm: Enjoy Iain Gourlay’s welcome dinner, served in the Sutherland Restaurant.

Christmas Day

  • 8 am - 10 am: A full Scottish festive breakfast served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
  • Take the morning to relax and maybe enjoy a walk or some games, indoor or out;

Activity options include:
*A walk on the hotel's Nature/Historical Trail
*Games in the Conservatory
*Croquet or Putting Green – outside Conservatory
*Chess or Boules – in the Walled Garden

  • 12 - 5 pm: The tradition that is 'Christmas Lunch' served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
  • 7 pm – 9 pm: A light supper buffet is served in the Conservatory.

Boxing Day

  • Breakfast in the restaurant from 8 am - 10 am;
  • 11 am - 12 noon: A tour of the walled garden with lead Gardener Mark Bain (TBC) and a chance to walk with the castle's friendly Alpacas / Falconry (TBC);
  • 1.30 pm – 3 pm: Chef’s carving trolley lunch served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
  • 4 pm: 'Taste of the Borders' cookery demonstration in the Conservatory;
  • 6.30 pm: Gathering of the Clan for a specially created Christmas cocktail;
  • 7 pm: A traditional light Scottish Burns Supper with an address to the Haggis, piper and ceilidh.

27 December

  • A final Scottish breakfast before a fond farewell...Haste Ye Back!
