Cringletie House New Year Package 2020

Cringletie House is a splendid Victorian baronial mansion, located just 20 miles south of Edinburgh. The hotel has 13 individually designed bedrooms, each one with its own unique character and furnished to a high standard, with views over the grounds and local countryside.

We are pleased to announce Cringletie's 2020 luxury 3-night Hogmanay package, with highlights including:

• Ceilidh dance class;
• Welcome dinner;
• Options for country walks;
• Scottish dinner;
• Traditional cream and afternoon teas;
• Champagne reception and New Year's Day gala dinner;
• Ceilidh with live band, Riddellfiddles;
• New Year's Hogmanay dinner;
• A wee dram to toast the New Year, whilst the piper plays;
• 'Taste of the Borders' cookery demonstration;
• Plus, 3 nights' accommodation in a luxurious bedroom or suite.

This fabulous 3-night package starts from £2,250 per room. Upgrades to more spacious rooms and suites are also optional, subject to availability and surcharges.

30 December

• Arrival from 3 pm to a cream tea served in the Maguire Lounge;
• 5 pm: Ceilidh dance class, with live music in the Conservatory;
• 6.30 pm - 9 pm: Welcome dinner in the Sutherland Restaurant.

New Year's Eve

• Breakfast in the restaurant from 8 am - 10 am;
• Rest of the morning is yours to enjoy at your leisure;

Activity options include:
*A walk on the hotel's Nature/Historical Trail *Games in the Conservatory
*Croquet or Putting Green – outside Conservatory
*Chess or Boules – in the Walled Garden

• 11 am - 12 noon: A tour of the walled garden with lead Gardener Mark Bain (TBC) and a chance to walk with the castle's friendly Alpacas / Falconry (TBC);
• 2 pm - 3.30 pm: Afternoon tea will be served in the Maguire Lounge;
• 7.30 pm: Enjoy a pre-dinner New Year’s Eve cocktail served in the Maguire Lounge;
• 8 pm: Hogmanay dinner served in the Sutherland Restaurant;
• 9.30 pm: Ceilidh band Riddellfiddles will invite all to the dance floor of the Conservatory;
• The magic hour will be celebrated with a wee dram and house piper, and then the dancing continues until 1 am.

New Year's Day

• Brunch is served a little later today from 10 am to 12 noon;
• 12 - 1.30 pm: 'Taste of the Borders' cookery demonstration in the Conservatory;
• 2 pm to 4 pm: Cream tea served in the Maguire Lounge;
• 4 pm to 5 pm: The Cringletie Estate with actor and storyteller John Nichol (details TBC);
• 7.30 pm: Champagne reception followed by New Year's Day gala dinner, served in the Sutherland Restaurant, accompanied by harpist, Charlotte Petersen.
