Bovey Castle New Year Package 2023

Bovey Castle Castle Hotel is idyllically set in the heart of England's Dartmoor National Park.

New Year's Eve brims with the decadent glamour and excitement that surrounds the last night of the year, drawing to a dramatic close with fireworks over the estate and Champagne flowing.

New Year's Eve

Arrive for an afternoon tea served in one of the beautiful lounges, accompanied by a harpist. Dress for the Black-Tie event and then the festivities begin with a Champagne cocktail and canapé reception, accompanied by a traditional piper, a six-course gala dinner in the Great Western Grill followed by live music and dancing. At midnight bring in the New Year watching the fantastic firework display from the South Terrace and celebrate with a glass of Champagne.

New Year's Day

After the previous night’s revelry, enjoy a leisurely brunch. Blow away the cobwebs on a guided walk or take part in a treasure hunt around the castle and grounds or play in the golf tournament. A savoury afternoon tea will be served, where you will be entertained by a magician. This is followed by ferret racing and the ‘nearest the pin’ golf competition on the South Terrace. There will be family activities available during the day. Enjoy a cocktail reception prior to the New Year’s Day celebration 5-course dinner, which will be served in the Great Western Grill, accompanied by the castle's pianist.

New Year breaks in a private lodge...

Stay over New Year in one of the castles superb 3-bedroom self-catering lodges and join in the gala evening on 31 December.

The 2-night package, starting on the 30 or 31 December includes 2 nights' accommodation and dinner in the Bovey or Mulberry Rooms on New Year’s Eve. The castle's Black-Tie event includes a Champagne cocktail and canapé reception accompanied by a traditional piper, a six-course gala dinner in the Great Western Grill, followed by live music and dancing. At midnight bring in the New Year watching the fantastic firework display from the South Terrace and celebrate with a glass of Champagne.

Prices are from £2,310 for 4 adults sharing a lodge for 2 nights. Additional adults are charged at £175 and children at £125 (5 years and over).

Smith’s Brasserie will also be available for lunch and dinner on 30 December, lunch on 31 December and 1 January. Restrictions apply*.
*The package only includes the New Year’s Eve function. All other food is not included in the package and pre-booking is recommended. No access to the main hotel lounges, bar or restaurant over this 2-day period is permitted except for the gala evening. Smith’s Brasserie is closed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day evenings.
