From the gifts in our room, which was a lovely touch to the service in the restaurant and delicious food everything was exceptional. The chateau is beautiful, the staff friendly, we would definitely recommend."

What it Includes...

Christmas Eve

Arrive to a warm and festive welcome and, once you have had time to settle into your room, join the team for a traditional cream tea (served from 3 pm to 5 pm) in a château lounge with spectacular views over the Menai Straits and mountains of Snowdonia. The resident pianist will play in the background. This is the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow guests and some of the team who will be taking care of you for the coming days.

In the evening, you are invited to enjoy a sparkling cocktail in the lounge, before being shown to the Dragon Rouge Restaurant for a wonderful candlelit dinner prepared by the château's Chefs.

Midnight Mass will be celebrated at local churches and, upon your return to the hotel, mulled wine and mince pies will be served in front of the roaring log fire of the Music Room.

Christmas Day

After a restful night’s sleep, awaken on Christmas morning and prepare yourself for this special day with an excellent Welsh breakfast.

At 12.30 pm you are invited to indulge in a glass of Champagne, with musical accompaniment from the resident harpist, followed by a traditional four-course Christmas Day luncheon served at 1.30 pm.

During the afternoon, enjoy freshly brewed tea or coffee and a slice of Christmas cake by the roaring fire in one of the lounges from 3 pm.

Feel free to make use of the board games spread throughout the lounges, or just relax and enjoy your favourite tipple whilst you unwind after your lunch!

In the evening, an informal buffet supper will be served in the Morning Room. This will be another chance to just relax and enjoy the company of your fellow guests.

Boxing Day

Another new day starts with a leisurely breakfast brunch, then the day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Why not explore the local area, taking in the breathtaking visual beauty of the ancient coastline and wildlife, or enjoy a book in front of a log fire, and forget about the outside world?

As the evening draws in, experience a delightful seasonal menu, prepared by Head Chef and the kitchen team. After dinner, enjoy coffee in one of the lounges and listen to soft music from the saxophonist.

Location

Our Experts Say

Château Rhianfa is a Grade II listed château on the banks of the Menai Strait, with views across to the towering peaks of Snowdonia. The perfect location from which to explore Anglesey and North Wales. Built as a gift to Lady Sarah Hay Williams from her husband John, the stunning architecture was inspired by Lady Sarah’s sketches of her favourite châteaux in France's Loire Valley.
