New Year's Eve at the castle is an evening of pure indulgence, where sparkling Champagne flows, elegant gowns twirl, and the air is filled with anticipation. New Year's Eve

• Arrive in style and ease into the festivities with a traditional afternoon tea served in one of the beautiful lounges, accompanied by the soothing sounds of a live harpist;
• As evening falls, dress to impress for the fabulous Black-Tie event, and let the festivities begin with a Champagne cocktail and canapé reception, complete with a traditional piper;
• Sit down to an indulgent six-course gala dinner in the Great Western Grill, followed by live music and dancing until 1 am;
• When the clock strikes midnight gather on the South Terrace to raise a glass of Champagne as fireworks light up the night sky in a spectacular start to the New Year.
  Please note: Children must be 10 years or over to attend the New Year's Eve function.

New Year's Day

• Begin the first day of the New Year with a leisurely brunch at your own pace;
• Embrace the crisp Dartmoor air with a guided estate walk, join a family-friendly treasure hunt around the castle, or tee off in the New Year's Day golf tournament;
• A savoury afternoon tea will be served with a touch of magic, literally, as a magician entertains throughout;
• The fun continues with ferret racing, always a castle favourite, plus a lively ‘nearest the pin’ golf challenge on the South Terrace;
• Family activities are available throughout the day for guests of all ages;
• As evening arrives, enjoy a refined cocktail reception before settling in for a celebratory four-course New Year’s Day dinner in the Great Western Grill, with live music provided by the castle's resident pianist.

2 January 2026

• Conclude your New Year's escape with a hearty full English breakfast, before fond farewells and a relaxed departure.
