The Broughton Estate comprises 3000 acres of ancient parkland, woodland and moors on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales, near the market town of Skipton. It enjoys easy communications with the cities of Leeds and Manchester. Perfect for a variety of events, or just to get away from it all.

Broughton Hall sits proudly at the estate's centre and can be yours, privately, for the duration of your stay. Fully staffed and sleeping up to 32 guests, its magnificent interiors are the ideal combination of history and modern luxury.

For a more contemporary experience, Eden is a spacious 17th-century house that sleeps up to 12 guests on a self-catering basis.

Set in the heart of a stunning 3000-acre estate, this magnificent Grade 1-listed building, rich in both character and history, is the perfect destination for groups looking for a celebration, or just to get away from it all.

Broughton Hall has 17 individually styled bedrooms, each with its own character and unique furniture, comfortably sleeping 32 guests in total. The wood-panelled Victorian Oak Room, the quirkiness of the Old Nursery, the elegance of Portico and the regal grandeur of the North Room are sure to guarantee a memorable experience for all guests.

The staterooms have all the grandeur and majesty that come with nine centuries of heritage, and make an impeccable backdrop for an event, or just as a place to relax.

The impressive bathrooms carry a delightful charm of their own – from walk-in marble showers and comfortable roll-top baths, to spacious and uniquely decorative havens.

A grand, 17th-century barn reborn into a spacious, holiday home in the heart of the Broughton Hall Estate. Eden is a great place to gather family and friends for a special get-together.

Eden's kitchen

With 6 luxurious bedrooms spread across the house, Eden can comfortably sleep 12 guests. The kitchen is fully-equipped, and the charming dining room forms a magical space for intimate dinner parties.

Situated in the heart of the Broughton Estate, Eden has magnificent views from every window and all of the estate's activities are right on your doorstep!

Sitting comfortably within the walls of the old kitchen gardens, Utopia is a contemporary venue space designed by Sir Michael Hopkins.

Utopia is great for meetings, conferences and other gatherings. Take the Home Room for small meetings of 6, or the Hopkins Room to seat larger groups of up to 30 people.

Parties for up to 150 guests can be accommodated, with catering included, if required.

The estate is also a great place to host team-building activities. With over 3000 acres, space is never an issue. Whether you have an idea for a custom event or would like some inspiration from the estate's events team, the possibilities are limited only by our imaginations!


The Broughton Hall Estate has been home to the Tempest family since 1097.

The Tempest family are believed to have come to these isles from Normandy, with William the Conqueror in his 1066 invasion, and were given land in the aftermath.

Eden's kitchen

Roger Tempest, the current custodian of the Broughton Hall Estate is the 32nd Tempest.

The Grade 1- listed hall dates back to 1597 and combines the work of several architects, including the renowned William Atkinson, who was also responsible for the impressive Durham Cathedral.
