Carlton Towers

Dating back to 1086, Carlton Towers overlooks 350 acres of private parkland. The house and grounds provide a truly unique setting for weddings in a hidden corner of North Yorkshire. Wedding parties have exclusive use of the house and gardens. It’s all yours and yours alone!

You can choose to have your ceremony either in the grand opulence of the Venetian Drawing Room or the Picture Gallery, greatly adorned with historic works of art. For a more intimate setting there is the Card Room or Armoury. In the summer months, you might choose an outdoor wedding in the Walled Garden Vineyard.

The talented chefs will design truly spectacular menus and will pair wines to delight your guests. With local produce, delicious canapés and two licensed bars, your wedding breakfast will be a major highlight of your day.

Whilst Carlton Towers has the appearance of a quintessentially English setting, it has staged wedding ceremonies from around the world. If you prefer to bring your own catering team, they can make full use of the in-house kitchens.

While the house itself certainly delivers, it’s the experienced, approachable and unflappable team, who will help you bring your wedding plans to life. They will work with you to discuss your ideas and spend time with you selecting the finest quality food and wines. On the big day, they'll be there, by your side to take care of every detail, leaving you free to enjoy every moment.

In the heart of the house are 16 beautifully appointed, elegant and refined bedrooms sleeping up to 31 guests, from the original Nursery Wing, that includes the Old School Room and the Priest Hiding Hole, to the imposing Clock Tower Rooms with magnificent views.
