Cloughan Castle is available to hire in its entirety for your wedding, whether you are envisioning an intimate occasion with your nearest and dearest or a large-scale celebration for up to 120 guests.
The castle has a backdrop of stunning panoramic countryside views, a long sweeping driveway, garden lawns, historical battlements and walled gardens. It comes complete with seven luxurious bedrooms, two main reception rooms and acres of picturesque breath-taking scenery.
Inside you will find arched doorways, circular turrets, exposed stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings.
Ceremony
The ground floor main banquet room is decorated in a grand historical style and offers a perfect backdrop for both the wedding ceremony and a wedding banquet for up to 120 guests.
Following your nuptials, greet your guests and enjoy an array of delicious canapes in the first floor Drawing Room, with charming historical wall hangings, mahogany furniture throughout and a beautiful open fireplace.
Retire back downstairs to the fully transformed banquet room to enjoy a wedding meal fit for royalty, taking in all of the character and grace these tremendous surroundings have to offer.
If you would prefer an outdoor ceremony, the best locations are the large, historical castle battlements or the beautiful Mia gardens, which come complete with a natural stone paved aisle.
There is also a wide choice of nearby churches.

The castle can provide a selection of carefully chosen recommended catering suppliers for you to choose from.
You are in complete control, so you can opt for a supplier that best suits what you have in mind, from menu choice to budget range.
Some opt to engage in a catering service which will provide a fine-dining experience whilst others select a more modest dinner banquet, buffet, barbeque – the choice is entirely yours!

There are 7 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 adults. Each bedroom has been thoughtfully refurbished and re-decorated to the highest standard, each has its own individual character and carrying its own sense of history.
