This is an excellent hotel. The staff and service were exceptional. Top marks to the Manager who runs a wonderful hotel. The Hogmanay package was very well put together. A slight hiccup with a wedding party joining the dinner, but as this was not known by the manager it was hardly the fault of the hotel. Excellent food provided by the kitchen for all meals. I would highly recommend.

The castle was amazing driving up the main drive gave an incredible view very Christmas story presence The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and just as imaginative as the restaurant had been advertised. The whole experience is worth every penny.

The restoration and furnishing have been done brilliantly. The staff were universally helpful. The quality of the musical entertainment was excellent. Just a couple of niggles, a tray to enable you to make hot drinks in the room was offered, requested two days running, but never appeared. Fruit available for continental breakfast was very limited, and I am partial to ground black pepper, this had to be requested and recovered from from the kitchen each time. We have already booked to return in Feb 2025

The staff at the Crossbasket Castle wrote the book on hospitality. We felt instantly at home and taken care of. Every detail was lovely. We stayed in the Lindsay Tower and every small consideration was accounted for. Our room was well-appointed and the location is just right for romance and couples looking for a special stay! The restaurant is terrific. This is a five-star hotel from end to end!
