Kathleen, United StatesThe castle and grounds were beautiful. The falconry experience was amazing!
Trusted GuestThe staff were not as warm and welcoming as Stonefield Castle. They felt more like formal hotel employees than interested castle caretakers. The falconry experience was outstanding! Five stars for Barry, the falconer. The spa was also outstanding. We enjoyed the 7-course meals in the dungeon although our reservations were "lost" the first two nights.
Aaron, United StatesLoved the castle, our room, the staff, and the breakfast! An amazing experience!!
Marlayna, United StatesI realize the castle is undergoing a massive renovation, but things could be better. While the staff we encountered were excellent, it seems they need more help. There should be two people at the reception desk. There should be two people serving meals or at least a server and a bus boy. While we didn’t suffer, one server was serving drinks, taking orders, delivering food, delivering utensils, and clearing each meal. The carpet in our room in the lodge was really, really dirty. I hope with the renovations the owners hire a more appropriate number of staff and clean the place up. It’s sad to see it like this.
