Available on a bed and breakfast basis, this authentic 6-bedroom Scottish castle offers guests the opportunity to experience a traditional stay in one of Scotland’s most historic homes.
Accommodation
Owners, John and Nicola, consider it a privilege to be able to share the history and experience of their castle with guests.
Accommodation in individual bedrooms is offered on a bed and breakfast basis from April to October each year.
Extra beds for children aged 12 and under can be added to several bedrooms.
A complimentary cooked Scottish breakfast is available to all guests. Alongside the cooked breakfasts is a variety of cereals, croissants and honey and jams, as well as fruit. Porridge is also available on request.
Evening meals served in the Baronial Hall can be made available to guests by prior arrangement.
All guests staying at the Leslie Castle are offered a complimentary guided tour of the castle with information about the property's history and restoration.
History
Leslie Castle dates back to the 1600s and was one of the last great Baronial castles to be built in Aberdeenshire.

Absolutely beautiful. Had a great time. My daughters and I enjoyed every minute there. Breakfast was wonderful.
Beautiful castle, and surroundings. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Impressive interior with a grand dining hall and 'withdrawing room', large bedroom with original features. Fascinating history of the castle and the restoration. Highly recommended.
Rooms were lovely and very large, bed was very comfortable. Hosts were informative, thoughtful and prepared a lovely meal. Felt very comfortable and would recommend to friends.
It was such a beautiful experience from the luxurious room to the beautiful dinner in the grand dining room and yummy breakfast in the kitchen! We would definitely stay there again. The owners made us feel so welcomed and comfortable.
We loved our stay at Leslie Castle mainly because it was a hoot, and Nicola was a wonderful, informative and forgiving hostess. You should brace yourself, however. A 16th century castle can only be updated so much. It was cold, drafty and damp at the very beginning of May. The bathrooms could use a renovation from the 1980s, and the hot water wasn't great. But it is the kind of place you will be talking about for years.
