Middleton village lies on the A47, just over an hour’s drive from Norwich and two and a half hours by road or rail from London.
The stunning North Norfolk coast is a short drive away, whilst a day spent on the golden sands of Wells-next-the-Sea beach is unforgettable. The market town of King’s Lynn, a ten-minute drive away, offers a range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, as does Norwich, with its stunning medieval architecture and thriving art scene, set among historic surroundings.

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Middleton Castle and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the initial communications to checking in, the process was easy and informative. The owner is incredibly kind and made everything easy. The castle is beautiful and historic but also feels very homey. I would highly recommend this location for any event!
I recently celebrated my birthday at Middleton Castle, and my family and I had an absolutely epic time. The castle itself is stunning, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the incredible support from Tom, the owner, and the dedicated management team who made everything so easy. A special thanks also goes to the catering company, MAYU Retreats, for organizing an amazing food experience that everyone enjoyed. The combination of a breathtaking venue and top-notch service made for an unforgettable celebration. Highly recommend!
What an incredible home to be able to enjoy and share. We did a wedding here in August 2024 and it was truly spectacular. A wonderfully unique and intimate event, made possible by the brilliant Tom, and super Ali. The castle is truly breathtaking. Everyone was jaw-dropped by the beauty and authenticity of this place. Unforgettable memories were made in this historic haven.A true hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. This exquisitely preserved historical castle offered us a unique opportunity to experience luxury in a truly extraordinary setting.We had intimate gatherings with friends in the grand social kitchen, complete with a magnificent large table which hosted breakfasts, chats, drinks and midnight snack attacks…..A traditional wood-panelled dining room for a formal dinner with gowns, then the billiard room for cocktails… we almost expected to see James Bond himself emerge from around the corner. Well actually he did, in the form of the birthday boy!Middleton Castle has beautiful modernizations throughout its many rooms, which ensured my comfort / pampering without sacrificing its historical charm. Complete with a moat, we had the entire castle to ourselves, a world away from the everyday. Which was indulgent bliss.Again please!
