Peckforton Castle

Peckforton, Cheshire

Peckforton Castle, an authentic 48-bedroom castle hotel, is set amidst 4000 acres of forest in Cheshire, England. This is a stunning corner of the UK, offering great accessibility from both Liverpool and Manchester, with each approximately one hour's drive away.

Pass the original gatehouse on your left and begin the long ascent up the castle's driveway. Slowly weave through the surrounding forest, climbing the Peckforton Hills overlooking Beeston, before approaching the castle proper. An original wrought-iron portcullis hangs above the carriageway, guarding the castle ward against any unwanted intruders in years gone by.

Bedrooms

Peckforton Castle has 48 bedrooms located throughout the castle, each individual in aspect, style and furnishing.

With a range of room types in the castle, from the opulent Four-Poster Rooms, straight out of fairy-tale books, to the more minimalistic Classic Rooms you've come to expect from hotels of this standard, there really is something for everyone at Peckforton Castle; no matter your taste!

Dining

For those looking to dine at Peckforton Castle, there are two, equally high-standard, restaurant options.

Restaurant 1851 offers one of the region's premier dining options and, as such, has been recognised with three AA rosettes and a Taste Cheshire Award. The more formal of the two options at Peckforton, this fine-dining restaurant offers a unique blend of classical French and modern British cuisine.

The 2010 Brasserie offers a slightly more informal atmosphere for those looking to dine at the castle. Located in the former scullery of the castle, this restaurant showcases many amazing features of the original castle's kitchen, including two cast-iron cooking ranges that date back to 1840. The Brasserie adjoins a courtyard that is perfect for al-fresco dining in the summer months.

Designed to appeal to both men and women alike, the highest quality products have been sourced to ensure your experience exceeds expectations. Facilities include, but are not limited to, a relaxation room and wet facilities, including two hot tubs, a sauna and Caribbean experience shower.*

*Guests who have booked treatments are eligible to use the wet facilities at the spa. Alternatively, a £15 charge is made.
