It was a lovely stay and the staff are wonderful and nothing is too much for them. The castle is chilly and you need warm clothes. The food is excellent and the fine dining experience is very good food delicious but just not enough to fill you up.
The castle is amazing and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We couldn’t have felt more festive or cosy.
The castle has charm but the service was not as good as the first two. The public bathrooms smelled bad and the amenities were just not as good.
Lovely grounds and rooms, very comfortable. The food at the Brasserie could be improved upon, the fish and chips were a bit greasy and the Eton mess was mostly cream. Good selection of drinks. One of the wait staff, or possibly the manager, was also noticeably inebriated when he served us, with more than one guest noticing his behaviour. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.
Excellent venue, pleasant staff, facilities of a good standard, all in all a very enjoyable stay.
