Your Wedding Ceremony Options

Tower House wedding

Indoor Chapel Ceremony

Should you choose to marry indoors, your ceremony will take place within the castle's atmospheric chapel on the ground floor of the beautifully restored Tower House. Here, simplicity speaks volumes - soaring exposed stone walls curve gracefully overhead, while wooden pews, soft up-lighting and a hanging tapestry create a setting that feels timeless and deeply romantic.

The chapel is thoughtfully adorned with flickering candles and fresh, seasonal flowers gathered from the castle gardens, offering an intimate and enchanting space in which to say your vows.

Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony

On a fine day, you may wish to exchange your vows outdoors at Springfield Castle. The castle's historic stonework, climbing creepers, and sweeping green fields dotted with ancient trees create a naturally breath-taking backdrop. Surrounded by your nearest and dearest, you'll enjoy an intimate and magical ceremony, framed by the serene beauty of the lush Limerick countryside.

Drinks Reception and Activities for Guests

Following your ceremony, guests can gather for a relaxed drinks reception, soaking in the beauty of the castle and its grounds. The estate offers a wealth of ways to enjoy the day, whether wandering through the tree-lined parkland, discovering quiet corners of the gardens, or indulging in light-hearted games. Inside, the castle provides spaces for snooker, table tennis, darts, and foosball, while outdoors offers the options of a game of croquet, boules or Jenga on the lawn, or even some archery.

From friendly competitions to leisurely strolls through the courtyard and parkland, every moment becomes part of the celebration. The estate’s variety of activities ensures that guests of all ages are entertained, while the relaxed atmosphere encourages laughter, connection and memories that will linger long after the wedding day.

I had an amazing birthday celebration, and I am incredibly thankful to Karen, Jonathan, and the staff for making it such a memorable experience. Once we decided to select this property, everything was seamless. Karen and Jonathan communicated frequently, provided timely responses, and made the entire process easy from start to finish. Payments were simple and secure, and prior to our arrival they shared information about sightseeing, drivers, and local activities. They also helped plan my birthday dinner, including securing a cake for my special day. My family and I stayed at Springfield Castle to celebrate my 50th birthday. As we approached the castle entrance, we were welcomed by a sign made especially for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. Upon arrival, Karen and the staff greeted us warmly. After we unloaded and settled in, Karen gave us an overview of the castle along with a safety briefing. Throughout our stay, she was always available whenever needed. Jonathan also gave us a wonderful tour and shared the rich history of the castle and grounds. The property itself is beautiful, full of charm and history. My family and I especially enjoyed the archery activity during our stay, and we also had breakfast at the castle on several mornings, which was delicious each time. The castle is located in the countryside, which added to its charm by providing the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere I had envisioned for this experience, making it even more special. Although my family preferred being closer to more civilization, we still enjoyed venturing out to Charleville, and taking a short 2 hour train ride to Dublin for the day, and a private driver (Adare Chauffeurs, shout out to Mike and Vincent) to explore Limerick City and Arthur’s Quay. Overall, our visit to Ireland ???? and stay at Springfield Castle was truly unforgettable, and it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special milestone with my family.

We had a fantastic time. Castle is lovely and spacious. Rooms are very comfortable with own bathrooms. The owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended!

This was the perfect location for our family gathering of 9 adults and 11 children under the age of 12. We self-catered but also had a fantastic celebration for 65 in the Green room, we had a traditional Irish Breakfast, the Irish entertainment night and story telling night. The food was top class and it certainly was the vacation of a lifetime.
